Visionary Award

| Beginning in 2002, the Oil City
Area Chamber of Commerce established the "Gusher
Award" to be presented to recipients who started new businesses or purchased existing businesses. In 2005, with the merger of the Oil City Chamber of Commeerce and the Cranberry Area Business and Professional Association to form the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce, the name of the award was changed to "Visionary Award". The criteria for receiving a Visionary Award are: |

Visionary Awards
will be presented, on an annual basis, to
new businesses that open in the area and hold
membership in the Chamber. |

Visionary Awards
will be presented, on an annual basis, to
companies, businesses or individuals that
purchase an existing business in the Venango
Area and continue to operate it under the
same or a different business name. Recipients
must be members of the Chamber. |

| In establishing the Visionary Award
program, the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes
recipients for their commitment to the area and
for their most valuable contribution to the Oil
Heritage Region's business vitality. |

| Visionary Awards and the Business of
the Year Award are presented at the Business Tribute
Luncheon held during our annual Oil Heritage Festival. |
