Oil Heritage Festival Bike ‘n Brew Biking Information

The Venango Region is fortunate to offer some of the best bicycling you’ll ever find. For those partial to a paved trail, you’ll have access to more than 70 miles of trail, from one end of Venango County to the other, along creeks and rivers, through tunnels and our picturesque communities or Titusville, Oil City, Franklin, and Emlenton.

The 2016 Bike ‘n Brew consisted of a day of FREE bicycling activities in and around Oil City throughout the day.  Road riders could log a days ride through the beautiful country side and past many historic sites. For the more adventurous, a group mountain bike ride was held at Two Mile Run County Park (471 Beach Road, Franklin).

All of these great biking opportunities are available year round, but we invited community members and friends to join us for one great day of biking!

We also held education sessions in Town Square including topics such as basic bike maintenance, trail education, and navigating city streets, as well as an information booth with maps, guides, and vendors.

We put together 10 routes on Strava (an online app) and participants were entered into a raffle for each route completed. Congratulations to the raffle winner Dave Hull and thank you to Emig’s Bicycle Shop for the prize donation!
