Community Blood Bank is the exclusive supplier of blood products to UPMC Northwest. We rely on blood donors in Venango County to donate with us, so we can in turn provide that blood to the local hospital. Donating blood with Community Blood Bank helps impact the lives of family, friends and neighbors right here in Venango County. With the help of local organizations and businesses, we provide local patients with the blood they need, when they need it.

To Coordinate all fundraising activities for the direct benefit of students who are enrolled in the Oil City School District and who participate in the schools athletic and cheerleading programs. Although the BOOSTER CLUB is designed to support the above mentioned programs at the 9th through 12th grade levels, the group may elect to use portions of its annual allocation for the development of its program in levels below the 9th grade, as long as the funds are used exclusively for the direct benefit of students enrolled in the Oil City School District.

Junior Achievement (JA) classes help prepare young people for the real world by providing hands-on lessons dealing with work readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. Junior Achievement was first introduced in the Oil City School District in 2002. "Junior Achievement of Venango County? was officially formed in 2005 and extended JA classes to include Rocky Grove, Franklin and Cranberry schools. To date, almost 1000 local students have experienced JA. Due to the success of the program additional classes have been added and expansion into the Titusville area is underway. With this expansion an additional 600 local students will be touched by JA this school year.

The Belles Lettres Club was organized in 1888, and they held their first meeting on the Northside. The purpose of the Belles Lettres Club is to study literature and to foster appreciation of the fine arts, to assist in maintaining the Oil City Library, to promote civic improvements, and to sponsor those things that tend toward the advancement of public welfare.
The Belles Lettres Club is open to women of all ages, though the group is made up of women of retirement.
