The Venango Area Chamber of Commerce builds, serves and promotes regional business.
In 1912, 10 men formed the first board of directors, their interest focused on creating an organization which would unite and represent business and industry. Our current board of 16 continues to be sharply focused on our mission to build, serve and promote regional business. Our board today includes women and several leaders under the age of 40, representing businesses large and small, with an increased mission to build, serve and promote the entire county, clearly benefiting not just Oil City but all of our communities.
Integrity – We are honest and trustworthy in every action and intent.
Communication -We are committed to promoting the best environment for businesses to thrive and succeed.
Leadership – We are visionary and innovative with the courage to be bold and stand by our values.
Education – We are committed to advancing lifelong Workforce Development education opportunities in our region.
Advocacy – We are responsive to the needs of the business community as the voice of influence for economic growth and business development.
Relationships – We are the premier pathway for building strong connections between our members, leaders and decision makers.
The vision of the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce is to be THE regional leader aligning business influence to drive vitality and prosperity.

The Venango Area Chamber of Commerce has a number of committees to address Chamber issues. These committees provide a round-table forum for members to collaborate on significant business concerns, and play a role in the decision-making of our organization. Committee members are getting the most out of their chamber membership, while having fun and building a network of key business acquaintances.
Committee meetings are open to all chamber members. Planned meeting dates are posted on the chamber calendar.
