Chief Cornplanter Day in Oil City

Join us for a celebration to commemorate Chief Cornplanter and his contributions to Oil City’s history and heritage!

- 9:30 am (Central Avenue, near First United National Bank): Dedication of “Chief Cornplanter and the Oilmen,” a new mural created by artist Michael Allison.

- 11:00 am (inside Days Inn): Dedication ceremony for new Cornplanter Historical Marker commissioned by the Oil Region Alliance and Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.

- 12:00 pm (Justus Park): Outdoor performance by the “Allegany River Dancers” from the Seneca Nation.

Events are free and open to the public.
