    Oil Valley Quilters Guild, National Quilting Association Chapter, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and education of quilting arts chapter of Membership is open to all who live in the Oil Region of Pennsylvania. Members of all skill levels are welcomed, from beginner to expert. Youth are given free membership with an adult member sponsorship. Membership dues are $25.00. Meetings include a program or presentation of quilting techniques. The guild participates in various charity and community outreach projects.

  • Oil City Arts Council Winter Concert

    National Transit Building (Great Room) - 206 Seneca Street, Oil City PA 16301
    Join the Oil City Arts Council for an evening of live music in the Great Room of the historic National Transit Building. Garrett Heath is a folk musician and songwriter from western Pennsylvania whose influences include Springsteen, Dylan and Young. His debut full-length album, "Whisper in the Dark", was released in 2013 and sparked a tour of the Eastern US. He is currently touring both solo and with his band, "The Revelators".     Franklin Civic Operetta Association's Off-Barrow Committee is starting Phase One of improvements to their production space at the Barrow-Civic's Little Theatre. Projects include removing the existing stage and rebuilding a newer, safer stage, rebuilding the tech booth, and enclosing the display window.

Shuttle buses transport people throughout the town to indoor sites where performances are scheduled. Revelers wishing to brave the cold are warmed at the bonfires throughout the city. Visit First Night Oil City on Facebook for schedules & event details… admission is free with purchase of a First Night button (available at the Oil City Library, Spilling the Beans, Sleep Shoppe, Transit Fine Arts Gallery, Karma Coffee, and Venango Area Chamber of Commerce).
