Members of all skill levels are welcomed, from beginner to expert. Youth are given free membership with an adult member sponsorship. Membership dues are $25.00. Meetings include a program or presentation of quilting techniques. The guild participates in various charity and community outreach projects. Last month we made more than 40 placemats to be given to Meals On Wheels in both Franklin and Oil City.

Our region’s history with oil began in 1859 when Colonel Edwin L. Drake successfully drilled the first commercial oil well in Titusville, PA. Today our region celebrates our oil history and oil heritage, as well as looks for opportunities to continue its long standing relationship with the oil and natural gas industry. The Northwest PA Oil and Gas Hub team has continued to offer educational, informative, and timely topics focused on the opportunities, challenges, and impact that the oil and gas industry brings to our region. We bring you FUELING OUR ECONOMIC GROWTH WITH NATURAL GAS in the hopes that you will be introduced to industry partners that can connect you to the very real opportunities in our region. This conference focuses on two core components: The petrochemical industry and the economic impact it has on communities. We want to inform you, as well as excite you, about being a part of the new industrial revolution industry in our region. You will be connected to hundreds of industry insiders, resources, and businesses. This year there will be an early registration fee of $50 for attendees registered before May 30, 2013. Registrations received after May 30th will be $65 each. We hosted over 1,000 attendees at our October 2010 two-day event and anticipate we will have hundreds of attendees at our June 18, 2013 event.
